We raise funds to promote Lifelong Awareness Acceptance & Advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome

With your help Down Syndrome Alabama (DSA) will be available throughout every stage of person with Down syndrome's life.

  • During Pregnancy DSA is there to give encouragement, factual information, resources and personal support.
  • Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers and their families are afforded step-by-step support, education and sources to navigate these important and formative years. Relatives and friends are also invited to learn and be encouraged on how rally around their loved ones as a strong circle of support.
  • The theme for the School Age Years is "Reach Your Full Potential" so DSA offers; age appropriate support groups & activities, walks families through educational goals, inclusion & IEP meetings, provides conference topics for each grade level including resources for health, development and behavior.
  • Life Expectancy has dramatically increased for Adults with Down syndrome from mid 20's just 25 years ago to early 70's today. Let's make these their best years!
