10K - 5K - 1mile Fun Run & Costume Dance Party!
The Boo Run for Down Syndrome is a fun and friendly event for runner's & families. The goal of this Run is to increase Down Syndrome awareness and acceptance in the community and raise funds to benefit Down Syndrome Alabama groups, programs and outreach.
You can run, walk and dance your way to help us reach these goals. We invite runners, walkers and dancers of all ages and levels to come out and experience a fun-filled 10L - 5K - 1 mile Fun Run followed by Costume Dance Party! Elvis DJ (Rob Langford) - Hot Dog Stand (reg & veggie) Trail Run Crafts - Face Painters - Wish 2 Enrich activities, Run Awards & Costume Contest Prizes - Fun & DANCE - DANCE - DANCE. Celebrate the end of National Down Syndrome Awareness Month and support DSA outreach & programs.
Schedule & Fees
Friday, October 27th: 4:30 to 6:00 PM - Late registration and Race Packet Pickup is at the Mountain High Outfitters Store on Hwy 280 at Cahaba Village, adjacent to Whole Foods. The address is: 2800 Cahaba Village Plaza, Suite 250, Birmingham, AL 35243. T-shirts for adult runners while supplies last. Finish Medals for all Fun Run participants.
7:00 to 8:15am - Day of Registration and Race Packet Pickup at Veteran's Park
8:30 am- Start of the 10K Race $35 (includes costume dance party) 5 K Race (includes costume dance party) $30
9:30 am - Start of the 1 Mile BOO Fun Run $10
10:00 am - Noon - Costume Dance Party at the park $10
Individuals with Down Syndrome may enter any race and the costume dance party at no charge.
